About me

I’m a software developer based in Berlin, with about two decades of experience building web applications, most of it in Python and Django.

Most of what I write about here sits at the intersection of technology and its social consequences: why the systems we build end up serving the wrong people, and what better alternatives might look like. I believe open source software and decentralized infrastructure are necessary conditions for a healthier internet, and that sustainable alternatives to Big Tech require real economic models, not just good intentions and volunteer labor.
